BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:
The Production Manager will
be responsible for the planning,
project management, coordination
and control of the manufacturing
and logistical processes to ensure
optimum production capacity and an
efficient supply chain.
JOB SPECIFICATION
• 5 Years experience in production in a similar position
• Management skill
• Planning skill
• Technical experience in running and maintenance of vegetable oil extracting and refining of oil plant equipment.
• Proven track record in managing production, preferably within a similar industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational projects, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines and stay within budgets.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following will be the main tasks:
• Overseeing the production process, drawing up the production schedule.
• Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for all production operations.
• Optimise resource utilisation by implementation of effective and cost effective production process.
• Making sure that oil is produced on time and of the correct quality.
• Assist the Country Managers with determining the human and material resources required to ensure optimal processes.
• Procurement of chemicals, cleaning materials, maintenance material and tools etc. that is needed for the day to day running of the plant.
• Responsible for ongoing improvement and increase in efficiencies and capacity of the plant.
• Cost estimations and setting timelines.
• Setting quality control standards and systems to ensure product quality control is maintained.
• Implement and monitoring the production process.
• Being responsible for the proper maintenance of equipment.
• Assisting Country Manager with technical support.
• Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed. (NOSA)
